The RSPCA continue to attract negative publicity as Dominic Grieve, the Government's attorney general, recommends, in a public letter to the charity's chief executive, Gavin Grant, that the animal organization seeks an independent review before making prosecutions in court. This caught the attention of MP Simon Hart who said, "The attorney general's letter is as close to saying 'sort yourselves out' as he can reasonably go. There is now a really good opportunity for the RSPCA to demonstrate that it is an animal welfare organization, not an animal rights one, and to stop pursuing political vendettas at the public's expense".

Peta vs Animals

Astley's Legacy was formed to counter the misinformation and propaganda spread by animal rights activists. As well as fighting the corner for circus animals and their trainers, we are here to promote and celebrate the cultural heritage of circus in general, and especially in the country of its birth - Great Britain.
